About the material
Made from a composite of natural quartz stone, porcelain and glass, the natural stone composite, Dekton, is the most scratch-resistant surface on the market. The mix of elements are fused and compressed under high pressure to create a countertop that is extremely dense and compact. As a result of this process, Dekton is fire-proof and it comes with the ability to withstand virtually any form of wear or impact from the occasional stain to the hot skillet. These hard-wearing qualities make Dekton an ideal choice for the busy, frequently used kitchen.
Good to know
Dekton is so compact that it’s impervious to discolorations from stains and liquids even in its white and lighter variants. It is shock-proof when it comes to extreme heat and cold. However, despite its durable properties it is still recommended to use cutting boards and trivets to make sure that the surface retains its finish.
Care and maintenance
Day-to-day cleaning can be done with a moist cloth soaked in warm water. A wet sponge or a brush can be used to remove grease and similar stains.
