Kasper Bjørke is a Copenhagen-based musician, producer and DJ with a long line of critically acclaimed albums, DJ mixes and production credits to his eponymous artist name.
Based in a spacious Frederiksberg apartment filled with subtly eye-catching art and design, the Danish creative spends his days working out of his home office, and engaging in the daily routines and rituals that make up contemporary family living.
The Bjørke family have acquired a BASIS design in a combination with and without handles where the solution without handles comes with push-to-open. We were interested to know what living was like in Kasper’s new kitchen, so we spent some time in the apartment and asked him about his relationship with design and durability and what he gets up to on a day-to-day basis.
“The day usually starts with preparing and eating breakfast, and when we’re done we take the kids to school.”
“So many things are happening throughout the day, and it can be slightly hectic. The kitchen is a place where I can chill out and reflect on things. It’s not often I get a chance to do that, but it’s nice when it happens”
“Quality, for me, is a mix of durable, sustainable materials and good design.”
