Visiting Tikkie in Frederiksberg, Denmark

Tikkie Elsøe, the blogger at adelie-blog.dk, lives with her husband Mads Elsøe who works at Politiken and their daughter Mollie Elinor. The couple who live in Frederiksberg in Copenhagen, chose their new kitchen to be in a mint green color from Reform.

Aesthetics is important for the couple, who believe it’s a quality in life, but it’s less important if their things are made by a famous designer or found at a flea market. The light on the right photo is from the French store Beau Marche in central Copenhagen, the lava tiles are from Made a Mano and the small shelf is from Frama.

The couple is very interested in art and the lithography on the left picture is by Cathrine Raben Davidsen and a gift from Mads to Tikkie. The chair from Thonet is found in an antiques shop and the pastel-colored carpet from Stilleben is a wedding gift for the couple.

The color of the new kitchen fronts was precisely as the couple wanted; “The cold mint green color in combination with warm from the wood handles and the table top is playing quite well together. It was a long process to find the exact mint green color, which have left several color samples; we didn’t want it to be too warm, nor too blue,” says Tikkie Elsøe.
